Meditation and Breathwork

This class is designed to empower you to build your own practice of meditation and breathwork. During this four-week class on Wednesdays from 6:00pm - 7:30pm, we will discuss several types of meditation and take time to practice each type during the evening. We will explore specific breathwork practices that will allow you to connect deeply with the lifefire within you.

Week 1

  • Overview of course

  • Exercise: Mantra Meditation

  • Introduction to Hindu Meditation Techniques - Mantra Meditation

  • What is a mala?

Week 2

  • Introduction to Hindu Meditation Techniques - Yoga Meditation

  • Breathwork Practice: Pranayama

  • Make your own mala

Week 3

  • Introduction to Buddhist Meditation Techniques - Zen Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation and Loving Kindness Meditation

  • Breathwork Practice: Focused and mindfulness of breath

  • Mindfulness exercise

Week 4

  • Introduction to Guided Meditations and other types

  • Daily Breathwork practices for empowerment and relaxation
